The so I own a Instagram and it's like the old Instagram name of the company and I post all the same content they do and I got and email sayingYou have 48 hrs to deactivate @---- and stop impersonating ------ LLC before we take legal action.

I took out the website from my bio, should I put a disclaimer saying I have no association with the website or should I put parody account? Can they really take legal action on Instagram?

Depends how big the company is and if they're copyrighted.

Just put your a parody fuck em, doubt they'll go through all that for a ig acc

they WILL take legal action. I would change go a parody account.

I know this sounds stupid, but I'd say swap it onto a new account with no posts.

Problem solved?

swap whatever the @ is toa fresh and they will never know it was you. Even if they do forcefully deactivate the old account its not losing the @.

I've seen this happen way too much this past couple of months, why do big businesses care lol

Because they don't want people thinking a Random person represents Their business.

Wait why don't you deactivate for like a week so they forget then make your account look like a parody and say you're not linked to them.

The thing is the company is like a company known for funny videos it's not like I'm uploading there stuff

Call them pussy ass e-thugs and fuck their shit up.

Just swap into a half legit account
They will think it is a personal account

Will they do it? Probably not. Can they? Yes, if they have a trademark and you're infringing on it.

We had a C&D (cease and desist) 100 times before, and only once did they actually file a lawsuit (we didn't defend and had to pay damages as well).

why not offer them to buy it from you?
