Can men and women be friends?

A lot of movies disprove the fact that men and women cannot be 'just friends', not for a long time atleast, without having a single romantic encounter along the line. Have you had a person you have been ONLY friends with for a long time (without so much as a minute's crush)? How has it been?

yes offcourse man and women can be friends for a long time if we choose good friends. we must choose good friends who never fights with us and always helps us. i am very sure that we will then be friends for a long time.

Your asking if men and women can be friends, yes there's a so called platonic love, friend. I believe that there are friends even best friends with opposite sex. They became friends because of lot's of similarities and lots of factors too. About you phrase "minute's crush", I believe that of course there's a slight crush that runs over a friendship but they just can't easily accept that :Laugh:. Personally, I had a guy best friend before and we share a lot of things. I know even his crushes/love problems and his personal problems. We had a good friendship before but after years passed I notice that his already my crush. Well, I keep that over years but something happen that I made our friendship lose. I accidentally say it to one of my friends and I don't know that HE"S having a crush with my bestfriend! ohh my lol.. Anyway, he say it to my best friend and presto! Our friendship ruined lol. I'll try to talk withmy bes but still he's not interested in talking to me. I learned my lesson haha! Oppss,, I think it's not a story telling thread. Sorry I got carried away but I consider it as an example :Cool:.

I think they can..They have to consider the relationship only by friendship way..In case of me I don't have men among close friends...

maybe or maybe not it is about the nature of human being if a man do friendship with a girl so man must be control yourself about the feeling

Yes of course a man and a woman can just be friends. The Bible says you should consider your sister (in a spiritual sense) as your sister (in a carnal sense). God knows our capacity better than anybody else so that's possible to resist. And it depends on where you focus your mind!

Actually it really depends on the motive of each individual. if he/she has a motive about reaching the relationship beyond friendship, then its up to both of them. But the promise arises when someone abuses that relationship and take advantage of the situation.

Yes, they can. But soon if they spent more time together the friendship can advance to love or something like that. But mainly they can be just friends.

i had one and we end up dating then we broke up.

I am a girl that too in a conservative country like India and my family has no problem in being 'friends' with a boy. My teammates for the final year project were boys and they were really good..both at coding and otherwise. It is completely ok for a girl and boy to be friends..but unfortunately, I have found no good friend who is a boy..yet.
