When you upgrade, just try all the names
you like. A fair amount should still be available.
 
Just go and check if the usernames are available. I've came across a lot of original usernames whenever I was first registering, and that wasn't too long ago from now.

You'll eventually find something. I don't think it's right to sell your username or buy a username on a m-board, unless the forum's got over 1,000,000 members.
