Who else thinks its annoying to have to hit people up on Aim and theyre not on? We could have something like a built in Instant messaging program on FK. Sure it'd cost alot, but id say its definitely worth it.

You could always use comet chat but I don't think it's necessary.

least then theres no imposters adding dots in names to aims to scam folks

Could be a nice idea, but I'm not sure how it would work out.
Would it slow the site down? lower activity? Too pricey?

There's a lot of things to take into consideration and then again you can just use the PM system.

Personally, I think that AJAX chat systems are terrible. It would be a lot better getting something more efficient, such as the chat-box I included above.

That's true, although nulled versions of MyBB modifications and plugins are at a risk of having security vulnerabilities.
