BTC Wallet Type(s)

[font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]I am seeking opinions on the type of BTC wallet to create. [/font][font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif]What are some of the potential 'positive/negative' aspects attributed[/font][font=Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, sans-serif] with the various wallet 'types' listed bellow?[/font]

I just use blockchain, I'm not getting an offline one because I cant send money with me iphone

I would use a software walllet, it is very easy to get working, I would recommend Multi Bit I like it the most,
The reasons I chose offline wallets is because:
More secure than a online wallet.
I can encrypt it.
Can easily get/move around my wallet key, which is important to me.
And I don't have to worry about anything being down (Except for my own network )

I think a Cloud hosted wallet is the way to go. It's so much easier to use, not necessarily more secure but much more accessible for a wider range of people. Personally I use blockchain because I don't like the idea of a program that has to synchronise to the network as soon as you download it for the first time.

Cloud wallets
Pros: Easier to use, Can directly deposit to/from bank
Cons: Can get hijacked, Can have thier Db's dropped etc

Software:
Pros: "Unhijackable", Secure
Cons: if you get raided by feds, have a fire, somehow lose that computer you're fucked.


I personally use Multibit for a large amount of my transactions.

thenotoriousbig said it all. just use multibit, it's very userfriendly and if you're worried for the cons that krish said you can just put it on a usb stick, external hd, ect.

Do not use an online wallet, unless it's like Circle or Coinbase because those two (and possibly more) will reimburse if there is a loophole and their bitcoins get stolen. Blockchain does not and will not reimburse you for what they lost, and it has happened. I'd go with Electrum or MultiBit, because the only way to lose your coins is either you wipe your HDD, you get RAT'd, computer HDD fails, and so on. Which is all very unlikely if your smart. So go with an offline wallet.
