Best npc to train range and get charms?

Despite ban rates being low, I will not bot my main at the range guild. I need a good npc to train range on, and yes, preferably one that drops a lot of charms. Post

I heard about that, but thought training there is only good for melee. You need to finish defender of varrock, right? And what's the best setup, I'm looking for around 50k an hour
 

Correct. You wont get banned. I botted from 1-85 range in 4 days.
 
You could purchase a Rock Crab script and buy some knives, they drop a lot of gold charms.. I have like 1k charms at the moment.

I tried it, and was getting 15k an hour with 85 range..
 
That's odd I get 30k/hr with 70 str lmfao.
 

Obviously doing something wrong there. Theres no way you'd only get 15k/hr with knives. I get 20k/hr with my mithril minotaur alone.
 

Rock crabs are for pures to melee not for mains to train range.
 

Oh yeah I totally forgot mains with 85 range can't out dps a mithril minotaur.

Mith minos max ~120 and attack every 4-6 seconds or so.

Bronze knives @ lvl 85 with no potions or prayers - Maximum hit: 102 and attack every 1.2 seconds.

Don't say places are pure specific when anyone can train there effectively.
 

I'm sure I'd get reported a lot anyways, so that can't be the ideal spot. Also, have you even considered how suspicious it is for a max main to train there? And no, I'm not going to baby sit and respond to people.
 
Go chin Rock Lobsters, use the same strategy you would for Bursting/Barraging them but using chins instead. You'll get decent charm/hr.
 
Oh I had an impression that you were a pure.. Nevermind.
 
It honestly depends on the kind of charms you're looking for.
