Best Free Anti-Virus Software?

I'm thinking about using Windows on my virtual machine.
In your opinion what's the best anti-virus software that I can download for free? I don't want to risk getting a virus, and it harming my MacBook.
Any help/opinions will be appreciated.​
 
Ha, one you don't really need an antivirus for Mac. It can be used, but most people I know prefer not to use one, and for two depends on if you're looking for a free antivirus or a paid one.
