What do you feel this saying means? have you ever heard of this saying? Beggars can't be choosers means those who ask for things or get things for a cheaper price and GET IT, can't be too choosy on it's appearance or condition.
 
I think this kind of means that if you need help, you must accept any help you get, even if it isn't exactly what you need. Basically, if you're begging (asking), you can't tell (choose) what people give (help) you with.
 
Well in our place it means people who needs help and asks and then when you help them out they will ask for more. Or they will specify or ask for a better thing. The kind who begs and yet are choosy to accept what others can give them. In other words beggars who are picky even though they don't deserve to be.

I think you are exactly right! Though there are many people who are choosers though they've begged!


To me, that sounds like the type of people who actually made this quote popular. It's sad there are so many people like that, but aren't we all at one time?
