at the end of the song you hear a little girl say "so you made it past all the barbed wires?" and kendrick replies "there's one more left" and then there's a gunshot
so onto the point of this thread

The bullet is just black people still continuing to be violent towards each other despite all the apparent opportunities available to them. That's the last barbed wire. The rest of the song is just describing all the new ways black people have reached acceptance in society.

As I saw this thread a Kendrick Lamar song came on mtv.
