Banksy arrested! Identity revealed!

Wow a legend has been taken down. I'm pretty sure @Hostage and someone else are big fans of him and we're talking about him yesturday.
 
This is crazy. I wonder if he will do art again. I feel like one of the greatest things about Banksy was the mystery of who this amazing artist is, and now that everyone knows do you think it will take away from the way you role appreciate his work?

This is absolutely disgusting. A legend has died today. Him remaining anonymous was one of the most intriguing parts about him. Just another example of the police robbing away our freedom.

Most of the time, our minds paint a picture of a young rebellious individual but in actuality, it's always an older person.
 
I'm gonna be the kill joy.

He was breaking laws. regardless if he was creating wonderful art. I can understand why people are inspired by him, he has the best qualities of a rebel, and he did what he loved in such a covert and mysterious way. For people who are offended that the police apprehended him; they are only doing their job, if their allegations against him hold water, I can't see why he should exempt from law just because he's famous.
 
Hes a multi millionaire so he will do his easy time under her majesty's pleasure like a king then back out spraying up London town boy.
 

I agree with this in a way, but I also feel like they still should have kept his identity a secret. The government appreciates Banksy's work, it adds value to property and it brings fame to their country. Graffiti clean up companies in his area preserve his prices because they are symbolic to England. I understand him getting arrested. He was breaking the law but they at least could have kept his identity a secret.

That's just how I feel.

He was only trying to point out corruption in society and did it in a beautiful way. People of politics are always breaking the law and the law of humanitarianism. Our government approves bombings that kill thousands of children and civilians everyday.

Banksy was only showing people a different side of the world through art.

This was art, and you fucking pigs ruined it because you can't handle a little bit of stencil work proclaiming the truth.
