Just got home from vacation in the Florida keys for 5 weeks. I've been posting occasionally from my phone but im now back at my laptop

Starting a job in about 2 weeks since im out of high school, going to be making like 50k a year, if I do that for about a year or two my dad said he would pay for my college.

Had a great time during summer will probably post some pictures of fish we caught etc. later after I get them off my underwater camera.

anyways glad to be back wats up guys
 
50k a year..? Where the hell are you working? My mother doesn't even get payed that much.
 
I can't wait to see the pictures! I am sort of an amateur photographer, and I enjoy looking at other people's pictures.

I am glad you have fun, and $50k a year sounds great! Especially if your dad will pay for college! You will live with your parents, paying them for bills out of your paycheck correct?
 
Actually going to be getting my own apartment, I've done the math and I will be able to afford all my bills at the place im planning on staying, and I'll even be able to afford a new car if I want, but ill probably just save my money

I would save the money if I were you. Save as much as possible. I mean, I would get the appartment, yes, a new car if mine sucked, a new tv, computer, small stuff. But I would save.

Well I have about anything I'll need for a while, I just bought a new laptop, TV, xbox slim, etc, and Im going to have to buy a different car because I currently own a 1995 f150 with a 5.0 V8(if you dont know what that means, I get about 8m/gallon) and my new job requires driving pretty far every day.

A lot, mangrove snapper, dolphin, muttons, grouper, hogfish(spearfishing), schoolmasters, a wahoo, some kingfish for fish dip (yummm) and more I cant think of atm

All we got at our local lake is like Jack fish and some weird mutant fish and all the basic small fish

Why did you kill a dolphin btw? They are smart you know

Lol not dolphin as in flipper, dolphin as in mahi mahi.

And ya we were saltwater fishing not in lakes so theres a lot of variety

Ya ill be running drugs from central america in a race boat to miami. no.

He's the manager of the chemical/warewashing division of a company that distributes things to restaurants, and I'll be driving around fixing peoples dish machines in restaurants and helping with w/e they need. I've been with him on a few trips and its pretty simple just a lot of driving around. Most of the repairs are stupid little things that take like 5 mins

Well, that's only roughly £30k, not a huge deal.
Piss easy job though.

not too bad for just out of high school and it will pay my bills. if I decide to stick with it Ill be making 100k+ in about 10 years, but its not something I want to do for my whole life. But ya its a pretty simple job, and I like driving so its all good.
 

It wont be a full 50k/year as Gas will start to increase if you live in the US. You guys are in trillions of debt. So you might as well get the job now and stick with it :3 SO if gas prices increase a lot, you wont be making as much.
 
Well I'll also be on a pay scale that increases my salary every year, and where I live gas is only about 3.80/Gallon and I'm going to be getting a car or small truck that gets a lot better gas mileage than the one I have now (read previous posts). I'm going to see if my uncle can work out a schedule around my college classes and if not I'll probably just find a part time job during college. and ya, debt :\ if it gets much worse ill probably move to somewhere warm and english speaking, Australia sounds nice I've always wanted to dive the great barrier reef :3
