Automatic Proxy Server?

Hey FK. I have had this problem going on forever and none of my close friends have had a solution. So I have a custom built gaming PC I purchased with Windows 7 installed. But when I attempt to open Internet Explorer or any web browser is comes up with "Unable to connect to proxy server" and I have never used a proxy server but when I went into settings it had one enabled. I do not understand when I uncheck the proxy server box it just goes right back to the original server. Any ideas on how to disable that?

Is there a setting that's checked that says "Automatically connect to proxy server" either in network settings or on ie or whatever browser you use?

hmm. Well dig around the settings of your comp, it should be there somewhere. Or do what you did, save settings, then restart.
