I am working on doing the ARM and I paid using a debit card, they said they would contact the seller and ask for a refund and if he does not follow through they will give me an "A-Z claim".

I got an email back from the seller saying:

Hello,

This item was purchased over 6 months ago so I am assuming this received damage items request was a mistake.

Should I continue to try and refund, or should I leave it?

You should continue. Even if its been awhile.
If you're not happy or there is a defect. Either they fix whats wrong or file a claim.
Your banks should have your back.

Continue, and be persistent. But it's easiest if you just do items shipped and sold by amazon

Like what @Koddama said, continue even after it's been 6 months!

For amazon refunding, the product must be shipped and sold by amazon and the call to refund it must be made within a week of it arriving.

Waiting for someone to try and argue with me when I got 2 36" Flatscreens, an Xbox One, 2 360's a 48" Plasma, and 3 1500$ laptops.
