Are you the Eldest, Middle or Youngest in the Family? How do you feel about it?

As we know our Birth order affects our personality as we grow. I read an article that it does really affect not only our personality but our IQ. It is because is position in the family carries a different responsibility or no responsibility at all. That's we need to consider our birth order as it very influential to whom we wanted to be in the future.

I am the eldest in the family of 8. The positive part of being the first born is you gain respect from your younger siblings.On the other hand, I am carrying a heavier responsibility for all of them. But I like the way it is though it is tiring sometimes, yet rewarding.

How about you? How do you feel about your birth order? Are you happy with it?

- Yes, I can relate about what you feel. Especially, if there are only two of you mostly the youngest is the priority and hold by the parents. There were an instance as well that everything will be be blamed to you even its the youngest fault. And the parents will say " You are the oldest, you must to do this and that and help your little brother/sister, and you should be a model and an example.

But why do they always get to get away, sometimes its good to know that your parents care about you too right.

I'm the youngest of my siblings and my parents . There were things that I couldn't do but my older siblings could and it drove me crazy because my mom especially is way over protective .

I want to show my Independence that im growing up now and don't need to be treated like a child but fussing about it isn't going to change the fact that my parents still think of me as their baby.
I should think of it this way : They're just looking out for me because i'm the youngest and more prone to make mistakes than my older siblings. I'm a teenager NOT an adult and teenagers get into a lot of trouble when they're given enough freedom. Now-a-days it's even more dangers.


Being a teenager is stressful enough without the adding of parents hovering over my every move.


If im really having a problem with it say to my parents : "Mom I have a problem and I need to discuss it with you."

When my parents think there's something wrong and i tell them so, they'll come running and listen if they're really great parents. I Just tell them how i dislike it that they're treating me like a baby. I'm Hearing their prospective on the subject -I think about it - then give my own point of view.


If i really sit down with my parents with this,I talk it out and not argue,i may get what i want.


But if not I look At the bright side. There are some privileges to being the youngest. I know this by experience. I might not get my freedom that quickly, but i get some of the things i want - easier than my older siblings would. And i get away with a lot more - at least I did.

When I was five I hit my hand and told my mom my brother did it because I was mad at him and he got a spanking. Oh the joy of being young!

I'm the middle child. I fell like I am left out most of the times.
But that could just be me.
