Didn't they run into legal trouble in the past though? I remember a few years back they ceased to exist for some period of time.
Same thing over at HF.

Edit: Just did some research. It's not against the law to RWT, bot, etc, but it's against Jagex's ToS. That being said, we should be fine from legal attacks, but users can still get their accounts banned if Jagex has enough solid proof to do so. This just means stay anonymous with your RuneScape user names, and hopefully nothing will happen.

RuneGear obviously condones botting and RWTing, if we didn't, there wouldn't be a Botting Discussions forum or a Marketplace section. So we are essentially breaking Jagex's ToS (again, this shouldn't be against the law to my knowledge). Now I've never seen (maybe you have, but I haven't) a RuneScape fan-site that also has a correlating forum which tolerates those principles stated above, but if you manage to pull it off and stick with it, then that is what makes RuneGear totally different from all of the other fan-sites, which is great. Maybe there's a reason why they don't exist? I don't know.

I don't completely know what's going to happen with the in-game cheating sections, they may be removed or they may stay. Not too sure.

I know this thread is a bit old but.

If this site was to become a big all use site I definitely believe that there should be no selling of accounts or rwt or botting discussion if the community was meant to be fresh and friendly.

Just my 2 cents on this.
