I started this contest on day #2 because I was away for the first day. When i noticed there was a contest my heart started pumping and I was posting on just about everything I could with a RELEVANT posts. The problem was that the pressure is always there, I stopped enjoying RuneGear and it was no fun anymore. I wasn't going on RuneGear to have fun and chat with mates, I was after the cash I desperately needed like the rest of the people.

Although once I decided to stop it felt amazing, no more tension, pure relief.
The intentions of the contest was good, to get people a little more active, not to see the same persons name in every column in 'Last Sender'.

Maybe if this contest was going to happen again the reward could be lowered or even just an achievement so people aren't so desperately after it, it's just a little bit more posting than casual.

I just want to point out this had nothing to do with the money or prize. Incase you haven't noticed I purchase a good deal of gold, if I wanted 50 million I would have bought it. The competition started out as a fun way to get active but turned into a series of one on one competitions. I can't speak for Crysis but I was posting to beat him...

Then why were you posting so much? You've even said you were posting a lot to get the gold before. You keep changing your story. :dizzy:

Please quote me or point me to where I said I wanted the gold. I originally just wanted to win but then it became to beat Crysis. I couldn't care if I finished 10th as long as he was behind me...

I relaxed on posting once I had a margin on Jonathan. When crysis started to catch up with me I started posting again. I had already disliked him to begin with because he had talked about me before. During the competition he flamed me on skype giving me more desire to beat him. I wouldn't call it hate instead strong dislike.

So instead of basically talking to him here,you could have just talked to him on skype about the topic.

Where is the logic in that?

Read the earlier posts, not about the gold (for me and I'm guessing for him). And it's hard to talk to someone on skype when they flame you and then block you before you can respond.

It's an online contest. Who cares.

The point of it is to be fun, not a little Jersey Shore dramatized sitcom on a RuneScape forum.

You should be old enough to realize its just a contest it doesn't mean anything. What does it matter if he wins or not do you lose anything? Is your pride on the line if you lose does that make him a better person then you? No it just shows he spams more then you. If you didn't spam the forums so much people would like you more as a person. You wouldn't be know as that one guy that killed the contest.

Jersey shore isn't dramatized... it's the real world.

And exactly the contest wasn't what mattered instead it was putting it in the others face. I wouldn't have minded the gold but it was mainly to say HA HA.

edit: I love how I'm the scapegoat for the contest ending. Incase you didn't notice he was pretty close to me in points when we got limited.

It isn't the real world. They are paid actors. People are just too dumb to notice that.

I don't think that is going to help me grow up at all... this contest has nothing to do with maturity. Instead two stubborn people competing with each other.

Stubbornness can be taken as immaturity but in most cases it's a part of someones character. Telling me to grow up isn't exactly going to motivate me.
