[RAF]

Rune Gear has just been subject to a small-medium botnet attack. The attack ranged from about 30 minutes to 2 hours. The attacker has been found (he gave himself up) and his information will be sent to local enforcements if the DDOS attacks continue. I am not really amazed at the attack, I've seen this website get hit with a botnet of 5,000. The DDOS was simple and had very little effect.

A note to any DDOS attackers thinking they will be successful.
I don't plan to take this website down easily/at all, and I do not comply with threats.

You know you can send that guy to gaol right? He blackmailed you + DDoS'd the site. He could get up to 3 months or more. Plus he would be fined up to $500 in damages.

Anyways, those are the thing that you CAN do, plus he gave himself up so, its ok.

I hate to say it but the government will not do shit unless it's over $10,000 in damages, so it's a waste of breath, but most won't even do shit for much more, because an investigation takes several months to years, and costs at least $50,000 or more..
