I have taken the liberty of cancelling the posting contest on Rune Gear. I find it ridiculous that when users are given an opportunity to win 27 prizes, they still bash each other claiming others spam, it's terrible. The contest is over, and the winner Dungeoneering has been awarded 100M as his prize. No more posting contests will be held on Rune Gear. Such a competition shouldn't cause trouble, but I guess it did.

Hopefully this will keep some flaming, spamming and low quality posts down. I think it is a great move on your part The Elite.

I saw it and was pissed. There are no other good contests shown, so why not do this? I just wanted RG Elite ;'(.

Congratz to Dung I guess, you really deserve it man :3.

Yeah I was planning on upgrading via this contest as well :/ But it is still a good decision on The Elite's part. Congrats Dungeoneering!

I'm glad and disappointed that the contest ended. I'm relieved that there will, hopefully, be no spamming and LQ posts anymore. But I'm sad because my bank is only 8M and I really needed the cash.

My bank is like 3m atm but I just want RG Elite.

I've applied in 2 user/group contests and neither have followed through, now I had a chance at a contest that would follow through cause it's the owner and people bitch so he ends it.

Oh thank the lord. I'm a bit relieved that the spam can now stop and RG can bounce back. I don't know what was weirder; Seeing this thread or seeing the blue boxes disappear at the top of the boards. There really needs to be a way to toggle those announcements.

Well "...and the winner Dungeoneering has been awarded 100M as his prize..." I want my 5M too. There is no sense giving him his 100M and no prize for the other ones. That's why you canceled and not early ended.

All I know is that I let out a heavy sigh of relief when I saw this thread title. I had to bite my tongue when I saw the thread that originally announced the start of the contest. I'm glad it's finally over and things can return to relative normality.
