Are we talking about the classic DS or a DS lite? Post up a picture of it and I can try appraising it for you. Personally, I use eBay for appraising my items, it gives you a general idea.

(I actually forgot to send my charger on eBay but they didn't care so I left it)
I'd say 40$ would be a quick and good selling price, maybe 45$ if you really wanted to push for it.
