Wondering if anyone knows how to get an upgrade on an app for free.

The app is myfitnesspal and want to upgrade it but I'm a broke boy and not paying $10 a month for it.

Is the app on android or IOS? If it is on IOS sometimes you can get free upgrades if your device is jailbroken.
