I go fishing all of the time.

Anyone an avid fisherman as well?

Post any good stories or favorite lures here too!

I prefer rabbit fur spinnerbaits or strike king mini king spinners.

Anyone have some stories?

I was with my cousin and he caught a northern pike that was too big for our livewell on the boat. He was nervous about it dying so he had me open the lid to check on it and it jumped out of the livewell, over the edge of the boat, and right back into the water. He wasn't even able to get a picture with it.

I usually go fishing just on the beach. I have gone deep-sea fishing in Hawaii though!

Heres an interesting story though:

One of the first times I went fishing, my dad and I, he was introducing me to the sport. Took me to the beach where we set up the lures and such and hooks weights etc. Well on the first cast, not 5 seconds after the hook hit the water, he got a bite, and reeled it in. It was one hilarious moment. Hes like OK, let me show you how to fish, *casts it out* HOLY SHIT!. It was pretty funny, but it was just a perch...

Wow that is funny. I've had those days before but then again I have had the dog days as well.

These are my favorite Lures..

To be honest I don't have the attention span to be a fisher, I get to bored to quickly of sitting there and just waiting...

Even worse, fishing charters!
Buckets filled with chum, smells terrible, on a rocky small boat waiting for fish to bite. No Thanks!

I'll stick to cruise ships lol

Not if you get the right ones that go out for trout and salmon. They tell you to bring drinks and a snack, and they take out huge boats, set up the rods and reels and then once there is a fish on just have you reel it in. No smell of chum and no waiting. It usually happens really fast.

I hate the taste and smell of seafood! I wouldn't be able to bring snacks and a drink and just eat while the scent of chum and fish was in the air....

I enjoy those, been on two. There fun ! xD

Well, actually, me and my uncle were up in Kent Lake, Michigan, on a little motor boat. We were sitting for about 2 hours before something shocked us both. Long story short, he caught a Piranha in the lake, which wasn't suppose to be there, and made headlines.

That is pretty sick! I am surprised that it didn't chew right through the line.
