Any vinyl heads on here?

Got any vinyl heads on this site? Im pretty new and after finding some of my dads old records i wanted to set something up so i got an ion pure lp for $34 on boxing day. I think the original price was $100. Anyways my only complaint is there is no counterweight. Ill post pics of my set up later and my vinyl collection. Also iv been having trouble with brand new lps right of the plastic skipping. Older ones i have almost no problems with. I just recently got a brand new one and it doesn't skip at all but my eric clapton lps skip a little. Mainly side one of 461 ocean boulevard which is a disappointment but oh well. And since there is no counterweight im not sure if its just a problem with the press itself=/ Also the side 2(i think) of the second lp of suburbs by arcade fire at the end of the lp the sound just keeps looping. When i get more money im going to invest in a higher end turn table and see how things are. Right now im kind of just experimenting with different things.

Ahh. Quite a nice setup you have there. I used to listen to vinyl records al the time. I have Journey, The Beatles, Guns and Roses, The Misfits, and a few modern bands in my closet. I might drag them out and redo my setup as I just moved

EDIT: I forgot to mention that my grandma collects original Elvis records and I used to borrow them and play them but I don't do that anymore

I love listening to vinyl. I have a record player that I bought off amazon recently. Don't have too many records yet since I've only owned it for about a month.

Nice, what player do you have? I recently found this store in my mall that sells a bunch of usedrrecords for 3-10$ each. Heading down there when it stops raining. Also HMV has a small selection of new modern records.

Just got back from my local "thrift store" if you want to call it that and picked up a Bob dylan album and tom petty. Surprised i found em because iv been looking for a bob dylan record for ages and its my first one. Both are in really good condition surprisingly.

Not much of a collector really, though I did pick up a box of 78's (I think? Idk they're smaller than normal so whatever those are) while I was picking, lots of old ones with the sleeves included on most, including an elvis presley.

I could take a pic later if interested, if anyone wants to buy them then I'll def get a pic up.

just got myself a bunch for lps including zeppelin iv in really good condition and like 20 45s. sadly most don't come in the original sleeves. ill post pics later.

Heck yeah, I'll post my vinyl player when I get home.. It's nothing special, I grabbed it from Urban Outfitters but it gets the job done and fits with my room.

I think @Rude will appreciate some of the vinyls I have.

I can't really name all of them, those were the ones that popped into my head.
