It's an interesting and short article if anyone is interested.

http://www.popsci.com/science/artic...mutant-powers-could-be-harnessed-fight-cancer

Viruses are skillful mutants, changing their structures or outer proteins to evade the shifting natural defenses of their targets. (This is why you have to get a flu shot every year.) Now researchers in France report using one of the most proficient mutants, HIV, to fight another intractable disease: Cancer.

Sounds interesting, So to cure cancer they will infect you with Aids.

Seems Legit.

Not exactly what they are doing. But good guess!

Without reading an article, one could assume that a test subject would be infected with AIDS to cure their cancer, not a guess it's an Educated Guess.

Sorry, let me rephrase what I said.

Not exactly what they are doing. But good Educated Guess!

(Also, all educated guesses are guesses...but not all guesses are educated guesses.)

Just like all laptops are computers, but not all computers are laptops.

Can do that with many things....

I am bumping this thread since I saw this article today which reminded me of it.

http://health.yahoo.net/experts/dayinhealth/hiv-virus-possible-cure-leukemia

"In April 2012, 7-year-old Emily “Emma” Whitehead was in the fight of her life following her second relapse of acute lymphoblastic—or lymphocytic—leukemia (ALL). The then 6-year-old’s parents and doctors turned to an unlikely source to save the young girl's life—the HIV virus."

They essentially reprogram the T-cells to fight cancer.

"The experimental technique relies on help from a disabled form of HIV because the virus is adept at carrying genetic material into T-cells so they’re able to kill off cancer cells. Those genetically altered T-cells go to work attacking cells in the body that play a role in the development of leukemia."

Cancer isn't a STD. Unless you mean inject all monkeys with cancer and kill every human that is infected with HIV/aids.

You could force cancer... just hold some radium.
