Last week I decided to switch over and start using T-Mobile Prepaid Phone Service so I bought a new phone online from the T-Mobile site and the phone came with a free $30 refill card. Well yesterday the phone arrived so I went about activating it online while trying to keep the current phone number that I already had. I went through the process and everything went fine until I got to the last step where you're supposed to pay for your service with either a credit card or a refill card.
I entered the number on the $30 refill card that they sent me in the mail but it said the number I entered was invalid so I assumed that they sent me an invalid card. I called up T-Mobile and explained to them what happened and they apologized and said that they would generate me a new code. So they did that and I tried adding it to my account and I got the same error message that it was invalid. So I told her and she made another code and yet I still got the invalid code error.
After that she transferred me to someone else and they finally explained to me that when you keep your current phone number that it can take up to 24 hours before your account becomes active so that I should wait 24 hours and try the code again and it should work. Well today I wake up and log into my account on T-Mobile and I see that my service is paid for the next month, plus I have a $60 balance in my account.
So I guess all 3 of the codes that I entered yesterday actually worked so now I have a $60 balance in my account for free. It seems like people could exploit this if they wanted to since the lady who generated me the 2 new codes couldn't see that they were actually valid and being applied to my account, she just took my word for it and believed me when I said that they were invalid.
You should contact them and give them their money back, they are losing money and it is not right. You have the ability to fix what you did, i hope you make the right choice.
I got a prepaid phone because they have a $30 a month plan with unlimited web, text, and 100 minutes of talk which is a really good deal for someone like me who doesn't talk on the phone very often and mainly just uses my phone for texting and apps and shit.
It's like $20 a month cheaper than the plan that I was on previously.

That's like me telling you to contact amazon and pay them for all the stuff you refunded. You're doing the same thing. Amazon is loosing money too and you're not doing the right thing either.
