I define living as having biological activity. A rock does not have biological activity happening in itself. A plant does. It performs photosynthesis, the cells reproduce, etc. This does not happen in a fetus until around the third week, when the heart develops. If you are to get an abortion, at least do it before the heart or brain develops.

However I don't see the big deal about it. Because absolutely no one knows as to whether there is a soul the second the the fetus and shit comes together or the second the baby is actually born. Lastly, if a body in a belly is actually a person with a soul than why is our birth date the day we are born, and not the day we are conceived. If our birth date was the day we where conceived I would than be completely against abortion as there would be just one supporting factor in weather you are a person before you are born. However I believe until you a born you are not anything, just like when you die you will be nothing.
