The Mobile Man, built over 1,000 mobile phones, is the star of a campaign by Nokia in China to promote the recycling of used terminals. The character, two meters high, is not technically a robot, since it has no movement or autonomy, so that its functions are limited to the attention of Chinese consumers through successive appearances in 40 post offices in Beijing, where users can give their old mobile and receive return invitations to the movies. The Finnish firm, which is a leader in environmental sustainability in its sector according to Dow Jones Sustainability Index, has launched other initiatives to promote the recycling of mobile phones in Asia, a network of kiosks in Malaysia.
