Stop asking for virus scans, its all a code, and a AV isn't capable of scanning codes.


VIRUS SCANNERS DO NOT DETECT VIRUSES IN CLIENT FILES!!
unless they are in executable form.


You can't put viruses into Java applications! Plus Java Code made to do damage will NOT be detected by a virus scanner.
 
The virus scan may not be the best protection, but if you have nothing to hide is this such a problem?
 
I have a few other reasons for having this rule. And, if you are legit why is this such a problem??

Because if other known rsps coders come here you can take it from myself and chocothunda, we both were rsps forum mods he was rune-server and I mopar. If anybody that really knows what they are doing they will flame the shit out of you and you won't get no other known rsps programmers.
 
So, just because you have experience moderating a forum you feel you know exactly why I've added this rule? Yes, you may be able to get around it, but I do have other reasons than just seeing if it's a virus or not. Also, why is this such a problem to you or anyone? It literally takes like 3 minutes to scan, and if you have nothing to hide...
 
I have passed this onto TE for judgement, with a full list of my reasons for having this rule. At the end of the day, is 3 minutes of your life to comply with the rules really too hard? I DO have reasons, but they won't work if everybody knows. I'm going to go ahead and close this, as I can't really say anymore. If you'd like, you may PM me and I could possibly elaborate more on this rule.
