3 letter gamertag

I found a 3 letter gamertag that is available but when i go to xbox.com it wont let me change my gamertag to it.. it says gamertag is already taken.. what does this mean?

it says that the gamertags m5j,mk8,k0s,pv8,id9,hd6,hg4,as5,st5,f46,f43,a3f are available
 
It's either spaced out, name banned, or deleted.

Zune accounts would show up as Xbox accounts as well.
 
Lol type in the GT: Microsoft on that site. Its not taken either. I got so excited when I seen that lol

This or it is spaced out. An example is the tag DW1. DW1 is available on sites, but it's taken as DW 1 on xbox. All the gamertag checking sites to my knowledge do not take spaces into account.
