I understand that the fact the upgrade 'helps the forums and you get neat stuff!' but, i honestly don't see how a measily $5 alone from me will help the forum that much, and i couldn't care less about sexy pink name

5$ goes towards advertisements and contests, both of which bring in members and more posts maybe of which you might make a cool friend or a good partner.
