Does anyone know how to get a gif to show on screen?

Everything you are asking can be found on Google. And I honestly don't even know what you are trying to say. Your grammar makes me think you want to create a .gif in the first part, then in the second part it makes it seem you would just like to upload one. If you want to upload just click upload... top right.

when i click the top right it says its a picture

yes but if the file is a .gif it still should show up as a gif after you upload it.
 
Upload the gif to imgur or some other picture uploading site like tinypic or pomf.se

On imgur, just upload it and it will take you to a page with the image. Click on the image to see it alone, and not on a webpage.
