I got them straight from Microsoft. I don't really understand the whole 'stripped' thing if you can elaborate.

Stripped is when you got an account with live and you strip the live off of it. Doesn't sound harmless right? But some users are sketchy that they strip live of off phished accounts which later on leads to a 9999 on whichever account the code was redeemed on.
