My birthday is coming up soon and I can afford a PS3 or a PS4. I just wanna know what the general consensus on the community is. How much life does the PS3 still have in it? Would it be a worthwhile investment to buy that instead of a PS4? Any help is appreciated!

I would just say go buy a ps4 in my opinion. The reason why is because ps3 still has life, but more and more users are moving on.
 
I would invest in the PS4, Only because as time goes on the PS3 will lose more user's. And most likely will be on the PS4. I don't use Sony but that's what I would do, but it's your money and your choice.
