Well most of the colleges and universities prefer C/C++ instead they should prefer easy language like python first. Or even ruby on rails. That way one can easily move the same knowledge set in C./C++. In that way things will be learned quickly.

I'm using wordpress lately so not going to use it. But for those who want to start with web design will surely benefit from this design.It's nice color choice by the way.

GCC is good on windows as well. In fact most of us using mingw or cygwin are using GCC underneath. So yeah that is one good compiler to use instead of old borland or mars compilers.

I think borland c++ is no longer maintained and is now changed to some another name. If you're using that compiler then chances are there that you're not using the updated standards compiler. That's for sure.

4$ is good threshold for the payment and i guess this will give admin enough time. I also think admin should consider running kontera or inforlinks ads for non-logged in users. That way i'm sure there will be enough funds.

Java is even slower than python and has more memory leaks than any other language out there. Besides speed of python is not that slow. Many games are using python, e.g. panda3d framework is python based and is quite fast.
