Using a proxy close to your victim's location is always beneficial. Other than that, gather as much information as possible about your victim before you start the recovery process - the very smallest of details can be crucial to a successful recovery.

Think of skills which are typically trained by high levelled/rich players, e.g. prayer, herblore, rune crafting. Perhaps create a fake macro for one of those skills?
