Agreed it depends on how much you want (1,2,3,4,6,8 GB) what kind (DDR,DDR2,DDR3) For A desktop OR Laptop and how how fast you want it (800mhz, 12000mhz, 1333mhz, etc) alot of this is going to be determined by what motherboard you have.
