Who here has had a chance to use Xenforo? i grabbed a licence last november and i converted one of my forums over to it and it is great, its a leap into the future of foruming.
 
What is xenforo for?

Is it only for foruming or it has more options?
 
Must be a new forum "software" gonna take a look now. Might give it a go.
 
I have never ever heard about this word Xenforo, what is this ? Is this only used in forum making or it can be used in anything else also ?
 
Xenforo doesn't seem very popular. I don't know a lot of places that use this software. I'm pretty sure there are better programs. WordPress is very popular. I've encountered quite a few sites using WordPress. I'm not too sure if I'm talking the same thing as you are, but I suggest you look into wordpress.

It's been released already dude. I grabbed a license early on and haven't used it for anything. Not all that crazy about XF. It's nice but needs a LOT of work to be as good as vB3.

That's a great video. This is a transcript of a very funny part (don't know how many of you will understand this).


It was nice to see MyBB mentioned in that video to be honest (it's just about where IPB comes in).

Anyway back to the topic. Xenforo is full of bugs, vBulletin is way too expensive though it does offer tons of mods/skins etc. Phpbb is free but it's terrible, IPB is paid for and I actually like it, but again it's just too much money for forum software. Xenforo has a nice future (if vBulletin doesn't win the law suit they opened against Xenforo), but for now MyBB is on top, my opinion.
 
I honestly don't like the look of Xenforo, I would rather buy IPB or vBulletin instead when it comes to paid forum software.

I like XF but honestly, it's weird and foreign to me. I like IPB but I don't think i'll ever use it to power a community anymore. My opinion, vBulletin 3.x is still king
