Well for years now there has been a vulnerability with Apple OS X systems that have the Thunderstrike port.

If you don't know what the Thunderstrike Vulnerability is, this is what it is:
Thunderstrike, an undetectable bootkit, works by injecting an Option ROM into a Mac’s EFI.

The update will be known as OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 beta, it will also address 3 Zero-Day Vulnerabilities that were disclosed by Google's Project-Zero.

You can read more on this Here.
